Rio De Janeiro Deve Sediar Mais Quatro Montadoras
Estado quer se tornar o maior pólo automotivo do Brasil.
O Estado do Rio de Janeiro está investindo em um projeto que o tornará um dos principais polos automotivos do país. O ano de 2012 para o Rio de Janeiro, começa com quase US$ 20 bilhões (R$ 37 bilhões) em contratos que pretendem trazer para o estados, novas fábricas de variados setores da economia, inclusive do setor automotivo. O Estado já é sede da PSA Peugeot Citroen e da MAN Latin America, que se encontram em Porto Real, na região Sul. A Nissan já divulgou que em 2014 vai construir uma fábrica no valor de R$ 2,6 bilhões em Resende, também na região Sul.
De acordo com Julio Bueno, Secretário de Desenvolvimento Econômico, Energia, Indústria e Serviço do Rio, as negociações estão apenas no início. Algumas fabricantes como a BMW, a Volkswagen, a JAC Motors e uma outra fabricante da Europa que ainda não foi divulgada, já estão sendo sondadas para levantarem suas fábricas no estado. Mas estados como São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Bahia, Rio Grande do Sul e Paraná, também estão sondando estas empresas, com o mesmo interesse.
Segundo Bueno, pelo menos uma dessas fábricas será erguida em Seropédica, município da Região Metropolitana do Rio, com a finalidade de espalhar o pólo automotivo, que se encontra em sua maioria, no Sul do estado. O Rio projeta a exploração de outras potências de sua economia, para tirar um pouco do foco do petróleo. Hoje, 15 mil pessoas trabalham nas fábricas automotivas do estado. Em 10 anos, a meta é atingir o número de 100 mil.
Mas para isso acontecer, a produção também tem que crescer. Atualmente, 220 mil automóveis são produzidos ao ano. A meta é finalizar a década com a produção de 900 mil veículos ao ano. A PSA Peugeot Citroen, vai investir R$ 3,7 bilhões para dobrar a quantidade de sua fabricação até 2015, atingindo os 300 mil veiculos por ano. Em 2014, a Nissan chegará produzindo 200 mil veículos ao ano, mas pretende duplicar este número aos poucos.
