Batavia Mercedes-Benz 2012 CLS almost ready for primetime by Matthew Liles
At times, the luxury car industry can get a little bland and stuffy. Thatâs why automakers like Mercedes-Benz have made a name for themselves through continued innovation and a constantly evolving product. Chicago Mercedes ML Class enthusiasts just love what their brand does for the industry, keeping up the pace among a whirlwind of other automakers that make their autos more cheaply. In fact, even in the face of the war on fuel economy, which has made promoting powerful cars more difficult, Mercedes has held strong by developing engine technologies that continue to focus on power while offering a more sustainable mode of driving. Batavia Mercedes-Benz drivers are often lifetime loyalists who have dedicated their lives to driving some of the best luxury cars on the market. It isnât much of a surprise when you see what the automaker has accomplished over the years. Now, we get to see the second act of a Mercedes model that helped invent an entire market segment: the four-door coupe. The 2012 Mercedes Benz CLS is coming to a dealer near you in the next year, and boy is she a pretty car.
A new press release detailing the coming CLS had Chicago Mercedes ML Class fanatics jumping for joy. âA generation ahead: with the CLS, Mercedes-Benz created a new vehicle category in 2003 which for the first time combined the elegance and dynamism of a coup with the comfort and functionality of a saloon. The customers were delighted, the competition astounded: for years the CLS has endured as the only four-door coup in its class, and since October 2004 to the present date it has been the car of choice for around 170,000 buyers around the globe. âCustomers all over the world benefited from our bold move to launch a completely new vehicle concept onto the market,â explains a delighted Dr. Joachim Schmidt, head of Sales and Marketing for Mercedes-Benz. âAnd with its exciting design, the new edition of the CLS also benefits from the fact that we are a whole generation ahead of the competition with our four-door Coup.ââ Batavia Mercedes-Benz dealers canât wait to get this car on their showroom floors.
One of the most striking elements of the new CLS is the fact that it is a much lighter variant of its former self. And the real newsworthy item for Chicago Mercedes ML Class enthusiasts is that the CLS will feature a range of four available engines, including two 3.5 liter V6 options, a 2.5 liter four-cylinder diesel and the V8 CLS 550, the latter of which puts out a striking 402 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. We knew that Mercedes would want to up the ante for this go around, and they certainly had the mind to do so. With that kind of power, the CLS reasserts its dominance in a segment all its own, adding a nice little cherry on top with sexy, aerodynamic look and feel. Yes, Batavia Mercedes-Benz drivers are going to be able to have quite a ride in this new creature.
