Is Valentine’s Day A Good Opportunity To Get Your Ex Back?
Couples in love are wise to use the opportunity Valentine’s Day presents to show just how much they love one another. It’s a great day for romance and a future filled with promise. Love is in the air all around you. When you’ve just gone through a breakup it can be a vile time to be around other people. But, did you know that it can also be the perfect opportunity for you to get your ex back?
It’s true. Love IS in the air around Valentine’s Day. It’s a time when the loneliness of being single can feel like a huge burden – even to the one who wanted the breakup to begin with. But the story of your romance doesn’t have to end with your breakup. If you play your card’s right this Valentine’s Day it can be the beginning of a bright new chapter in your love story.
Make a Plan
This is not the time to go out there and ‘wing it’ in hopes that the love you shared will be enough to melt his or her heart. You need to have a plan for what you’re going to do, what you’re going to say, and how you’re going to respond in various scenarios.
The goal isn’t to save your relationship or get your ex back in a day. That’s too big to accomplish. You goal needs to be small and simple. The smaller your initial goal is; the better it is. Don’t’ try to even get dinner and a movie. Instead, ask her out for coffee or dessert.
It’s easy for your ex to turn down a request for dinner. It’s not so easy for your ex to turn down a polite request to have coffee. Just remember to keep it cordial and non-committal. No matter how much it means to you or how your heart is on the line, if your ex feels pressured he or she will balk.
Have a Plan B and C to Fall Back On
Don’t forget, during your planning, to have a few contingency plans waiting in the wings. It’s easy to make plans for cool logic to prevail when you’re miles away from a face-to-face meeting with your ex. It’s another thing altogether to deal with in the heat of the moment.
It’s best if you can keep your cool and things go according to your mental script from the very beginning. Unless you have an excellent coach waiting in the shadows to feed you your lines you might be more than a little lost without a good backup plan or two to help you keep it together.
Finally though, you want to follow a plan that’s been proven effective. It’s easy to come up with a plan of your own that may or may not get real, lasting results. But, wouldn’t it be nice if you could use the same plan to help you get your ex back that’s already worked for more than 50,000 people in your shoes?
