Top 5 Favorite Nascar Sprint Cup Drivers for 2011
NASCAR has been on a roll the last couple years, and many fans are new to the sport of Auto Racing. Fans like being at a race in person and have discovered that Nascar Tickets are readily available. I began viewing NASCAR in 2001 and soon became a fan of Matt Kenseth, who at the time driving the #17 Dewalt Ford for Roush Racing. fact that Kenseth was different from most of the full time racers, always remaining under control, even if another driver may have crashed him. I was excited that Kenseth won the Champiosnhip that season, even if NASCAR had the urge to change the point system following the season. Matt Kenseth is still a great driver, he is currently driving the #17 Crown Royal car.
Tony Stewart, driver of the number 14 Mobile one car, is another one of my favorites. While his demeanor is totally different than Kenneth’s, he really likes to win races. He has excelled in every level of professional racing. From dirt tracks, to the Indy 500, to eventual NASCAR points, Stewart is the man. He has mellowed somewhat, as he was known to mix it up with other drivers in the past. He seems content to let his driving skills do his talking for him.
Jimmie Johnson had developed into the Tiger Woods of NASCAR Racing. He has driven the #48 Lowes Chevrolet to an unbelievable five consecutive championships. Not even #43, Richard Petty, managed to do that. Johnson faces some hurdles, as a few fans are bored of seeing him victorious. Even the (fans mus give him props however.
Young gun, Kyle Busch has emerged from his brother’s shadow, having amazing success in the 18 M & M’s car. The thing I love about Kyle Busch is that he lives to drive. Busch currently races in all three race series, NASCAR SPRINT CUP, Nationwide, and the Truck series. He has even swept all three Nascar Series in one weekend. He is young, and brings lots of excitement and energy to NASCAR.
The final of my favorite NASCAR drivers is Tony “T Bone” Raines. He currently does not have a sponsor, but the guy is resilient. Despite almost always beginning at the rear of the field, he makes the best of it. He usually manages to get everything he can out of the car, even though he does not have top flight equipment. It would be really great to this veteran driver get a chance with a new sponsor in 2011.
The one driver that leads in merchandise sales for Nascar is #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. The Nascar Sprint Cup season is off to an amazing start, catch the fever.
