Could Euro Financial Recession Help Or Break China Cell Phone Sector?
The world is definitely struggling financially.

Sales of QWERTY phones happen to be dropping in developed markets for many years. Most people had already bought their cheap phone and were either happy with it or were seeking to upgrade to an Android smartphone.
Developing markets were the actual powerhouses behind the QWERTY phone market with sales in Russia, Brazil, India and lots of countries in Eastern Europe surging prior to the UK, the US and countries in Western Europe.
The only exceptions to this were Italy and Greece where sales of sub 100 USD phones were especially strong.
Essentially it may mean that there is an upturn inside sales of QWERTY phones inside developed world in the near future as people need to replace their old phone but can’t afford the data plan and outright price of a smartphone.
That doesn’t mean there won’t be added challenges though.
Reports taken from India (a major market for Shanzhai unlocked phones) claim that the market there is consolidating with smaller phone sellers (who simply re-badge OEM phones) being pushed out by larger brands who add value to their phones before selling them onto customers.
This is indicative of the sorts of changes the world will be going through soon and so anybody selling OEM phones might attempt to add value to it, either by supplying the phone with a larger SD card, includingn music downloads or some other incentive too keep customers loyal and finding its way back.
Is the QWERTY phone market in danger? Early indications would appear to be no. But it would be wise to start looking at methods to add value to your items to help make your customers feel like you are giving them something a little bit more than the smallest amount.
